Here’s a remedy to clarify your hair using the herb rosemary and ACV (apple cider vinegar).

ACY has common use as a agent to restore balance to the hair when used as a rinse. Its acidity is close to that of natural hair, it’s a good conditioner and cleaning agent. Hair is on the mildly acidic side of the pH scale and has an ideal pH of 4.5 to 5.5, which is close to that of an apple cider vinegar rinse (pH 2.9).

Rosemary is considered to be a stimulant for the roots and the scalp by stimulating hair follicles and hair growth.   Rosemary is generally believed to slow down or even permanently hold off premature hair loss and gray hair. Rosemary will also eliminate dryness and act as an excellent conditioner that leaves the hair silky and shiny. Rosemary has been shown to promote increased circulation as well as help remove dandruff and sebum accumulations on the scalp.

What You Will Need:

  • 1 cup of water distilled
  • Handful of dried rosemary herb (organic is possible)
  • 1-2 tablespoon of ACV

1.  Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan with and add the rosemary herb.

2. Lower heat and cover while it simmers for 45 minutes.

3. Use a strainer to separate the water into a heat proof bowl and allow it to cool- this created a rosemary infused water.

4. Once rosemary infused water has cooled to a luke warm temperature, transfer it into a non-breakable spray container.

5.  Add another cup of water  along with ACV.

6 . Apply rinse to wet hair immediately after shampooing

7.  Allow rinse to stay on hair for 5-15 minutes to penetrate the hair shaft  (if you’re hair is long, knot it into a bun or wrap). To further enhance penetration wear a plastic cap during this period.

8.  Rinse your hair with warm or cold water.Cold water closes the pores and prevents dirt from entering and accumulating on the scalp it also closes the hair cuticle, sealing in moisture.
